About Me

My name is Cormac O'Brien, and I am an artist manager and promoter based in Toronto, ON. 

I began my career as a writer and editor at the University of Victoria, in British Columbia, where I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2018. I started as a volunteer at the Martlet, the student newspaper there (I just wanted free tickets), and ended up as the Editor-in-Chief for 14 months in my graduating year. 

From there, I freelanced as a writer and a musician before moving to Toronto, ON, and continuing in the industry with the fantastic team at Six Shooter Records. After a year as Social Media & Content Manager, I moved into management as Artist Management Associate for William Prince, Whitehorse, Nyssa, and Rheostatics.

In January 2024, I founded Roulstone Media & Management and created Mirrorball at the Music Hall — a singer/songwriter's evening hosted at the Burdock Music Hall. The night was envisioned as an opportunity for emerging artists in Toronto to perform in front of an attentive and passionate audience of industry members and fans alike, and we sold out our first show in June 2024. 

With such artists as Dizzy, Flyte, Lia Pappas-Kemps, Michaela Slinger, Quarterback Baby and more having performed, Mirrorball is on its way to becoming one of the best possible ways to find your new favourite artist.
